Real Estate Partnerships Manager (contract) (PropTech)

What you will do

• Own MLS onboarding from deal closure through customer go-live, coordinating MLSs, brokerages, customers, legal, finance, engineering, and the data partner Constellation Data Labs.
• Complete MLS vendor questionnaires, prepare data license agreements, secure approvals, manage fee payments, and act as Canva’s authorized signer for MLS partnerships.
• Build and operate a documented, repeatable onboarding playbook that scales with the real estate vertical.
• Audit active MLS connections, manage renewals, and resolve compliance gaps with legal and finance.
• Advise Product on MLS data requirements and roadmap decisions, translating complex requirements for legal, product, and engineering audiences.
• Drive automation, reduce manual onboarding work, and develop new PropTech partnerships, including representing Canva at industry events.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with MLSs, real estate data providers, or real estate technology companies, with strong industry relationships.
• Strong knowledge of US MLS operations, including IDX/VOW licensing, RESO standards, brokerage data release agreements, and related compliance requirements.
• Understanding of legal considerations for MLS partnerships and comfort representing Canva as an authorized signer.
• Experience building or managing complex, multi-party workflows and creating processes in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to communicate complex MLS requirements clearly to legal, product, engineering, customers, and external partners.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs, AppSDKs, and MCPs, plus practical use of agentic AI tools such as Claude Cowork or ChatGPT Work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Constellation Data Labs, Cotality, or similar MLS data aggregators.
• Familiarity with CREA or Canadian MLS systems.
• Background in real estate law or data compliance.
• Industry connections with PropTech companies such as Cloze, Rechat, MoxiWorks, Lofty, Local Logic, or LiveBy.
