Senior Buyer/Planner (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, United States; applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Relocation is not offered.

Annual salary: $95,500–$115,000.

What you will do

• Plan and place purchase orders for direct materials, components, and assemblies using Oracle, MRP, demand planning tools, cost, lead time, ECO changes, and item complexity.
• Maintain inventory and safety stock targets, MRP fields, supplier forecasts, capacity plans, and material supply chain metrics.
• Monitor supplier pricing, quality, delivery commitments, shortages, and production-impacting material status.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Engineering, SQE, Commodity Management, suppliers, and internal departments on forecasts, engineering changes, quality issues, and delivery risks.
• Lead supplier reviews, audits, cost-reduction initiatives, supply chain improvement projects, and vendor return processes.
• Support new product introduction, train team members, and lead supply chain initiatives and supplier relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 7 years of buying and planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of MRP systems; Oracle experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint skills, along with strong analytical, communication, organization, and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to build supplier relationships, lead projects, work autonomously, interpret AutoCAD drawings, and manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced English proficiency and the ability to work on-site in Pawtucket are required. hirify.global does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
