Manager, Indirect Sourcing (Medical Devices)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States; travel required 10–30%

Salary: $100,300–$130,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus

What you will do

• Develop and execute indirect sourcing and global commodity strategies focused on supply continuity and total cost of ownership.
• Lead buyers, senior buyers, and sourcing specialists in achieving procurement objectives and team goals.
• Manage RFx processes, supplier audits, QBRs, vendor relationships, and supplier performance initiatives.
• Negotiate and execute short- and long-term supplier contracts, including pricing and VMI agreements.
• Build TCO models, analyze complex pricing, track savings, and present financial and operational recommendations.
• Drive supplier rationalization, demand management, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of indirect or direct strategic sourcing experience.
• Experience with supplier performance management, contract negotiation, and cost management.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of purchasing operations, procure-to-pay workflows, supplier contracts, legal requirements, and vendor compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and communicate results to senior management.

Nice to have

• MBA or equivalent degree.
• Consulting or medical device industry experience.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Pareto charts and flow diagrams.
