Senior Buyer

What you will do

• Manage tactical sourcing and purchasing of CAPEX, direct, and indirect materials.
• Set appropriate inventory and stock levels and monitor supply situations to maintain service levels.
• Analyze MRP exception messages and adjust delivery schedules by expediting or delaying deliveries when necessary.
• Maintain purchase orders, vendor acknowledgements, and purchasing-related material master data in the ERP system.
• Coordinate with Accounting on invoicing documents, standard costs, purchase price variances, and related discrepancies.
• Support non-conformity, warranty, product lifecycle, new product introduction, phase-out, and assigned project activities while guiding the buyer team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in purchasing, manufacturing, quality, engineering, or customer service within a procurement environment.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing requirements, schedules, priorities, and multiple assignments.
• Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers, customers, Accounting, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Sales, Service, Warehouse, and Engineering.
• The position is safety sensitive and subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
