Procurement Buyer (Supply Chain Operations)

Location: Garden Grove, California 92841, United States; onsite manufacturing environment.

Salary: $47,800–$58,200 per year.

What you will do

• Manage the full purchasing cycle for operational materials and capital expenditures, including soliciting quotes, evaluating bid waivers, and placing purchase orders.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with corporate policies, financial controls, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Reconcile goods receipts with vendor invoices and support accurate, timely payment processing.
• Monitor supplier quality, on-time delivery, and fulfillment metrics; address discrepancies and improve vendor accountability.
• Identify and qualify alternate sources to reduce supply chain delays, align purchasing with production schedules and launches, and support material availability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams on inventory accuracy, packaging cycle counts, cost management, and purchasing workflow improvements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Purchasing, Sourcing, or Procurement.
• Proficiency in SAP, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for spend and budget analysis, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Strong negotiation, price discount schedule, and budget management skills.
• Exceptional organization and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to persuade and influence stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent procurement across departments and with external vendors.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business.
• Experience working as a self-starter with a high degree of motivation.
