Procurement Buyer (Supply Chain Operations)

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing cycle, including quote solicitation, bid-waiver evaluation, and purchase orders for operational materials and capital expenditures.
• Negotiate with vendors and monitor supplier quality, delivery, and fulfillment performance.
• Reconcile goods receipts with vendor invoices and support accurate, timely payment processing.
• Identify and qualify alternate sources to reduce supply chain delays and improve resilience.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with Engineering, Quality, Operations, production schedules, and product launches.
• Maintain packaging cycle counts and inventory data integrity while improving purchasing workflows and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement.
• Proficiency in SAP, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Strong negotiation, price discount schedule, budget management, organization, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
