Revenue Accountant

What you will do

• Prepare accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policy.
• Reconcile billing, revenue, and general ledger activity across NetSuite (including SuiteBilling) and Zuora (Billing and Revenue).
• Investigate and resolve revenue and billing discrepancies; maintain reconciliations for deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, accounts receivable, and bad debt.
• Review month-over-month revenue fluctuations and provide variance explanations.
• Partner with Billing and Operations to ensure transaction accuracy and completeness for subscription, recurring, and usage-based arrangements.
• Support audits and maintain process documentation; assist with testing and validation of NetSuite and Zuora configuration/system enhancements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience focused on revenue accounting, billing, or general ledger accounting.
• Working understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with SaaS/subscription/recurring revenue or transaction-based billing models.
• Experience performing account reconciliations and supporting month-end close activities.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis) and strong written/verbal communication.
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred, and Zuora SuiteBilling/Zuora Revenue experience preferred.
