Revenue Accounting Manager

Location: Remote, United States; open to candidates across continental U.S. time zones. Occasional travel may be required for team or cross-functional meetings. Candidates residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not considered.

Salary: $117,300–$138,000 for Region 3, $130,050–$153,000 for Region 2, or $143,650–$169,000 for Region 1, depending on U.S. location.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the Revenue Accounting team, including setting priorities, delegating work, providing feedback, and managing performance.
• Own monthly and quarterly close activities for retail revenue, including journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, accruals, reserves, deferred revenue, and accounts-receivable entries.
• Analyze retail revenue trends, movements, risks, and key balances for Finance leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Partner with Technical Accounting to apply ASC 606 consistently across retail programs, promotions, and operational processes.
• Support onboarding of retailers and distribution partners through transaction-flow reviews, ERP setup validation, reconciliations, and close-readiness activities.
• Improve processes, controls, SOPs, and documentation while partnering with Business Systems, Retail, RevOps, Logistics, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct revenue accounting and ASC 606 experience.
• At least 2 years of direct people-management experience and demonstrated leadership of day-to-day accounting execution.
• Retail accounting experience, including retailer reconciliations, deductions or credits, reserves, and close support for large retail partners.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, judgment, and process-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
• Comfort working with transactional data, system flows, configurations, and cross-functional partners such as Sales, FP&A, RevOps, and Business Systems.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Experience in high-growth or global organizations.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Experience supporting audits and SOX-ready or public-company environments.
• Experience building templates, playbooks, and scalable documentation.
