Senior Product Designer, AI SaaS

Location: Hybrid role preferably based in the Northern Virginia/DC Metro GovCon corridor, including Tysons, Reston, Herndon, Chantilly, Arlington, Fairfax, and the surrounding Washington, DC market; NYC may be considered. Travel is primarily customer-facing, with periodic travel to the Midtown NYC office as needed.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 basic annual salary, depending on experience and location, plus potential variable attainment.

What you will do

• Partner with Product and Engineering to define user problems and translate solutions into flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Design AI-assisted workflows that help users co-write with AI while maintaining control and understanding system behavior.
• Take features from discovery through final UI using research, usability testing, iteration, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Evolve the design system to deliver coherent, accessible, and visually refined experiences.
• Run or support research and usability sessions with customers and internal users.
• Collaborate with engineers on implementation details, edge cases, and QA.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience designing B2B enterprise web-based SaaS products.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking, problem framing, and production-ready UI for complex, multi-step workflows.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design and prototyping practices.
• Strong usability focus, communication skills, and ability to simplify complex workflows.
• Experience or interest in AI-powered products, including trust and explainability considerations.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and designing for diverse users.

Nice to have

• Experience designing regulated, Federal, or GovCon products.
• Understanding of the proposal management lifecycle.
