Vehicle Fluids Hardware Development Engineer I (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; on-site work at the factory is required.

Salary: $90,000–$136,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop manufacturing processes, techniques, and tools for high-rate production and improved engine performance.
• Collaborate with design and analysis teams to simplify propulsion and vehicle fluid systems.
• Participate in design reviews and lead design-for-manufacturing initiatives.
• Design test setups and coordinate development, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Review test data, investigate failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Design, analyze, and procure tooling while maintaining development build and test schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics.
• Hands-on experience with fluid and/or mechanical hardware systems.
• At least 1 year of related experience, including full-time work, internships, or projects.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to deliver against ambitious schedules using unconventional and creative solutions when necessary.
