Focus on negotiating prices, analyzing make-versus-buy decisions, coordinating engineering and manufacturing requirements, and resolving supplier quality and delivery issues.

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Relocation eligible; travel required up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $78,000–$107,500 per year.

What you will do

  • Rotate through Purchasing/Sourcing, Project/Program Management, and Supplier Account Management over 18 months, followed by a 12-month final placement.
  • Issue RFQs, analyze supplier proposals, negotiate prices, execute orders, and support new product integration and commercialization.
  • Develop sourcing and commodity strategies based on cost, quality, reliability, urgency, supplier capability, and capacity.
  • Coordinate engineering, materials, manufacturing, buyers, planners, and production control through product development deliverables.
  • Monitor supplier delivery, quality, cost, risk, capacity, and total landed costs while managing materials change control and key performance indicators.
  • Resolve supplier quality issues and support decisions on critical parts, long-lead components, outsourcing, and make-versus-buy analysis.

Requirements

  • Commitment to completing the full 30-month rotational program.
  • Graduating with an MBA in Supply Chain Management and holding a technical undergraduate degree.
  • Good academic standing; a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
  • Exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology; hands-on experience is preferred.
  • Data analytics skills, including advanced Excel and working with multiple datasets for decision-making.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawing specifications, negotiate with stakeholders, and evaluate supplier capabilities.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in engineering, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or project management.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, or PMP certification.
