Supplier Manager

Location: San Diego, California, US; onsite presence is required for in-person work-related events, trainings, and meetings.

Base annual salary: $143,600–$197,450.

What you will do

• Manage assigned suppliers and commodity supply bases to ensure on-time delivery, specification compliance, and competitive total cost.
• Lead supplier selection activities and cross-functional sourcing teams.
• Negotiate long-term supply agreements, NPI agreements, and related addenda.
• Drive cost and lead-time reductions, supply-base rationalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance, contractual compliance, financial health, and QLTCS metrics.
• Lead Supplier Account Team meetings and participate in supplier quality audits through closure of findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive supplier-management experience in a high-tech, international manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing business relationships with strategic suppliers and executing long-term agreements.
• Strong capabilities in complex negotiations, problem-solving, strategic planning, and financial analysis.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally and to lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to work with stakeholders at all management levels.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of one or more technology-related supply chains.
• Knowledge of continuous-improvement techniques and technology manufacturing.
• MBA degree.
• Knowledge of SAP.
