Manager, Vehicle Fluids Product (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Long Beach, California, United States

Hiring range: $160,000–$240,000 USD per year, plus salary and equity-based total rewards.

What you will do

• Lead the vehicle fluids product team and align execution with program milestones.
• Define stage-level fluid architecture, requirements, documentation, schedules, and integrated flight-readiness activities.
• Lead interface definition and negotiations with propulsion, engine, structures, GNC, and avionics teams.
• Define development, qualification, and acceptance testing to reduce technical risk before vehicle-level testing.
• Own CONOPS development, operational data reviews, and testing execution for integrated vehicle fluid systems.
• Mentor engineers and guide hardware owners in meeting fluid system requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience across at least one aerospace vehicle program lifecycle.
• Experience leading high-performing engineering teams on complex, cross-functional hardware projects.
• Strong technical background in fluid system architecture, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and system operations.
• Proficiency with one or more fluid or thermal modeling tools for compressible and incompressible fluid analysis.
• Experience with Matlab, Python, or C++ for data analysis or modeling.
• Direct experience designing or operating launch vehicle or spacecraft fluid or propulsion systems.

Nice to have

• Experience certifying vehicle fluid systems for NSSL and/or range certification.
