Staff Manufacturing Test Engineer (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Define manufacturing test requirements with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Service, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Design, develop, and implement test hardware, software, architectures, fixtures, and equipment for qualification, production, and service.
• Develop high-coverage analog and digital tests for PCBs, sub-assemblies, custom electrical components, and complete systems.
• Qualify test fixtures and equipment, define calibration and maintenance requirements, and ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Coordinate test-station setup, methods, documentation, and personnel training across internal production and satellite facilities.
• Lead or contribute to multiple projects, communicate technical information broadly, and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 8–12 years of relevant Test Engineering experience.
• Experience creating test hardware and software architectures, using test equipment and instrumentation, and programming LabVIEW to control instrumentation.
• Experience with manufacturing test techniques including AOI, X-ray, ICT, Boundary Scan, Functional Test, and ESS testing.
• Ability to work independently, lead projects, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, service, supplier quality, and quality functions.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001/FDA GMP design and document control environment.

Nice to have

• Medical device manufacturing or manufacturing/service environment experience.
• Advanced LabVIEW training and programming experience.
• Programming or scripting with C++, Python, Perl, Bash, or VB.
• Experience with Test Executive GUI software, PLD/PIC/Flash/EPROM programming, PCB CAD, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, JTAG, ESS testing, or Linux.
