Sr. Electrical Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Skaneateles, New York, United States; hybrid work with a required minimum number of onsite days per week

Salary: $96,000–$132,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Design and develop analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits for medical devices.
• Create schematics, component specifications, design documentation, and technical reports.
• Conduct circuit analysis, simulation, prototyping, design reviews, and component selection.
• Develop and execute engineering verification test plans, analyze failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Support medical device compliance, design FMEA, hazard analysis, EMC activities, and product risk management.
• Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, supplier, and contract manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline and 3+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience designing and testing electronic circuits and systems.
• Proficiency with electrical design tools and schematic capture software.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, digital multimeters, and logic analyzers.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Medical device or other regulated-product development experience.
• Familiarity with IEC 60601, EMC/EMI testing and mitigation, embedded systems, and microcontroller-based designs.
• Experience with FDA and international regulatory frameworks, manufacturing support, and product commercialization.
