Senior Manager (Advisory) (Private Markets)

Location: United States; Toronto-based hires are also considered.

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 USD for US-based hires; $180,000–$225,000 CAD for Toronto-based hires, plus a variable bonus.

What you will do

• Lead client engagement teams delivering strategic advisory and enterprise transformation programs for private markets investors.
• Support clients in defining technology and operational strategies and implementing recommendations.
• Manage current-state and future-state analysis, strategic design, initiative prioritization, sequencing, roadmapping, and phased delivery.
• Lead requirements elicitation sessions with client stakeholders through interviews and working sessions.
• Build trusted client relationships and advise junior consultants while sharing industry knowledge.
• Lead small teams of junior resources and take accountability for delivery in collaboration with Engagement Leads.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in management consulting or a change role in the private markets investment industry; at least 6 years in a recognized consulting firm or in-house consulting/business analyst role at a leading financial institution.
• Experience leading consulting, strategy, or advisory engagements and managing client expectations with limited Partner oversight.
• Experience delivering Target Operating Models, Business Requirement Documents, process flows, functional capability matrices, project plans and roadmaps, data dictionaries, IT architecture designs, and data flow diagrams.
• Experience structuring multi-workstream, multi-year change programs with significant technology delivery components.
• Experience with data analysis, financial analysis, analytical modeling, OKRs, and KPIs.
• Excellent consulting, problem-solving, written, verbal communication, relationship-building, and team leadership skills; flexibility to travel if required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with private markets, including credit, equity, or real assets, or the wider investment management industry.
• Familiarity with recognized project, change, and consulting frameworks.
• Experience supporting clients across multiple practice areas.
