Director of Program Management (Aerospace)

Location: Hollister, California, United States

Salary: $156,800–$291,200 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead the Hollister Program Management team and track active programs against schedule, budget, technical requirements, and customer commitments.
• Own program portfolio financial performance, including bookings, revenue, cost, margin, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coach, mentor, hire, and develop program managers while building succession depth and managing performance.
• Standardize program management processes across sites using hirify.global Business System principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Lead proposals, contract negotiations, program kickoffs, risk mitigation, customer escalations, and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, finance, customers, and executives to resolve cross-functional roadblocks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience managing program teams in technical and manufacturing environments within aerospace or defense, including experience leading people leaders.
• Knowledge of aerospace ordnance, pyrotechnic, and electronic components and systems.
• Strong business acumen, including gross profit accountability, Department of Defense pricing, and contract negotiation.
• Significant experience negotiating DoD sole-source contracts with awards exceeding $100 million.
• US citizenship or qualifying US Person status is required due to US Government contractual and export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional certification or equivalent.
• Experience leading program management in a multi-site, matrixed organization.
• Working knowledge of hirify.global Business System, TPS, DBS, or FBS.
• Global business perspective and experience.
