TL;DR
Principal Modelling Engineer (Power MOSFET): Introducing and modelling new Power MOSFET technologies through compact device models, virtual prototyping, and system simulations with an accent on device physics, behavioural modelling, and simulation accuracy. Focus on developing stable SPICE and Verilog-A models, simulating power applications such as DC-DC converters and motor controllers, and providing technical leadership across semiconductor product development.

What you will do

  • Contribute to business-critical platform release projects for new Power MOSFET technologies.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain compact device models and improve their accuracy, stability, convergence, and extraction methodologies.
  • Perform virtual prototyping and system simulations to predict product and application performance.
  • Develop simulation support for DC-DC converters, motor controllers, and other power applications.
  • Support customer design activities, create technical launch materials, and maintain modelling support packages and project documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and expand modelling capabilities across the engineering organisation.

Requirements

  • Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of experience in power semiconductors or a related technical field.
  • Experience with DrMOS, Smart Power Stage technologies, semiconductor packaging, and device characterisation.
  • Expert understanding of Power MOSFET device physics and electrical behaviour, plus knowledge of manufacturing processes and device structures.
  • Experience with behavioural modelling, virtual prototyping, Compact SPICE modelling, Verilog-A, and VHDL-AMS.
  • Hands-on experience with TCAD, ICCAP, LTspice, Cadence, KLayout, R3D, and Python or similar programming languages.
