GNC Architect (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Act as the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Architect for a mission.
• Define the GNC architecture, subsystem requirements, simulator, and test specifications.
• Manage the mission's GNC engineering team and define subsystem risks and mitigation strategies.
• Design and optimise GNC-level solutions in coordination with other subsystems and disciplines.
• Interface with program management, the System Architect, and the Robotic System Architect.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in AOCS or GNC design.
• Experience designing GNC algorithms, including navigation filters, guidance strategies, or controllers.
• Experience designing fault-tolerant GNC systems, algorithms, or software.
• Knowledge of GNC rendezvous, pose-estimation sensors, satellite trajectory design, collision avoidance, abort manoeuvres, and passively safe trajectories.
• Experience with GNC hardware integration and testing.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and C/C++ for aerospace simulation and programming.

Nice to have

• BSc or MSc in aerospace engineering or another relevant engineering or science discipline.
• Additional language skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
