Quality Inspection Supervisor (Aerospace)

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents able to obtain an interim or final suitability determination.

Total compensation: $82,000–$110,000 per year, including base salary, applicable variable pay, and benefits.

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate daily inspection activities across production sites.
• Train, mentor, and develop inspectors while monitoring performance and capabilities.
• Ensure products and processes comply with ISO 9001, AS9100, aerospace standards, and legal and safety requirements.
• Maintain inspection records, deviation documentation, corrective actions, metrics, and product traceability.
• Manage nonconforming material and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions with Quality Engineering.
• Prepare weekly reports, coordinate with production and engineering, and drive process improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and quality.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a quality supervisory role in electronics or aerospace manufacturing, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on quality inspection experience in electronics or aerospace manufacturing, or a related field.
• Technical or associate degree in quality, electronics, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of lean practices and ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience is beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including systematic fault identification and resolution.
• Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment, and the ability to interpret technical data, drawings, and specifications.

Nice to have

• Experience or training in electrostatic discharge (ESD) practices.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
• Experience with aerospace or defense contracts.
• Knowledge of VoIP technology and SAP.
