What you will do
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, AS 9100, FAR/DFAR, and other applicable standards.
- Conduct internal audits, identify compliance gaps, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate product and process defects, determine root causes, and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, purchasing, supply chain, and program management teams to reduce defects and improve on-time delivery.
- Maintain field investigation records and quality databases, prepare reports, and ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Provide operator guidance and training and represent Quality during product validation plans and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a technical equivalent with 3–5 years of quality assurance or process improvement experience, or Certified Quality Engineer certification with at least 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with corrective action, inspection, customer and supplier communication, and auditing.
- Knowledge of First Article Inspections, material certifications, shelf life, AWS welding and brazing, specialty metals, non-destructive testing, and special processes such as plating, coating, passivation, and heat treatment.
- Ability to interpret and inspect engineering drawings using GD&T.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100, Military/US Navy quality standards, and applicable FAR/DFAR material requirements.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. The position may involve access to export-controlled information and additional security screening.
