What you will do

  • Plan and execute quality assurance activities involving supplier products, processes, and technical oversight.
  • Lead supplier qualification, approval, certification, improvement, and assessment activities with Purchasing.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements in quality and on-time delivery.
  • Manage supplier non-conformances, corrective actions, RCCA efforts, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assess or witness non-destructive examinations and functional tests at internal and supplier facilities.
  • Collect and report supplier performance metrics while supporting broader quality assurance and quality control activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a technical equivalent with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or Certified Quality Engineer certification with 5–7 years of quality assurance experience.
  • Experience with corrective action, inspection, customer and supplier communication, and auditing.
  • Strong knowledge of FAI, material certifications, AWS welding and brazing, specialty metals, non-destructive testing, and special processes.
  • Ability to interpret and inspect drawings using GD&T.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100, Military/US Navy quality standards, and applicable FAR/DFAR material requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident and able to work on-site in Aston, Pennsylvania. Willingness to travel up to 25% to supplier sites is required.
