Senior Quality Inspector - Test & Launch

Location: On-site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States. Successful candidates must clear a US government background check for on-site work at a government partner location.

Salary: $52–$78 USD per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

What you will do

• Perform in-process and final inspections of production hardware using CAD models, engineering drawings, process specifications, and work orders.
• Review hardware requirements, determine pass or fail status, and document inspection results, nonconformances, and approved deviations.
• Provide technical guidance during manufacturing to ensure procedures, quality requirements, and industry standards are met.
• Collaborate with Test and Launch, Manufacturing, and Hardware Responsible Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Analyze inspection findings, support root cause analysis, and assist with corrective actions.

Requirements

• Experience performing quality inspections in aerospace, aviation, or a similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience conducting in-process build inspections using precision measurement techniques and inspection tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
• Ability to provide technical guidance based on documented inspection requirements and work standards.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces when required.
• Availability for occasional night shifts, weekends, and business-related travel.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in an aerospace startup or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with NX, Teamcenter, Infor LN, or comparable engineering and enterprise systems.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality management systems, including MES or ERP systems.
