Supplier Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States. Workplace: Onsite. Travel required: up to 25%.

Salary: $105,000–$145,000 per year, with potential stock options and benefits for full-time hires.

What you will do

• Manage supplier performance issues, non-conformances, containment actions, and corrective actions.
• Qualify components and oversee supplier manufacturing processes.
• Review supplier quality systems, conduct audit evaluations, and support new supplier onboarding.
• Analyze quality metrics, identify systemic root causes, and reduce recurring production issues.
• Improve quality management processes and strengthen supply chain reliability.
• Collaborate with suppliers and Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Supply Chain Reliability teams to ensure part quality and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of component manufacturing processes, quality standards, and certifications including AS9100 or ISO 9001.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, supplier audits, and non-conformance processes such as SDR, MRB, CAPA, and RTV.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• 4+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or a related aerospace or manufacturing role.
• Experience with Minitab, SAP, ERP systems, Excel, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
• Demonstrated success in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
