Senior Solutions Engineer (Data Infrastructure)

Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in Tennessee, United States.

Salary: $197,200–$255,200 OTE annually, including base salary and potential commission.

What you will do

• Partner with two Enterprise Client Executives to develop territory strategies, qualify opportunities, and execute customer engagements.
• Lead consultative discovery sessions to identify business initiatives, technical challenges, and modernization opportunities.
• Design and position storage, hybrid cloud, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and modern data infrastructure solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with enterprise architects, infrastructure leaders, technical decision-makers, and executives.
• Deliver demonstrations, workshops, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations throughout the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with channel partners and hirify.global specialists while managing multiple customer engagements and opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be based in Tennessee, United States.
• 7+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or Solution Consulting in an enterprise technology environment.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise or Fortune 1000 customers through complex technology sales cycles.
• Strong foundation in storage or storage-adjacent infrastructure, with broad knowledge of virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, hybrid cloud, and modern data centers.
• Ability to design and position technical solutions, communicate business value, manage competing priorities, and build relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with channel partners and partner technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with structured discovery, account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, and MEDDICC.
• Ability to discuss ROI, TCO, consumption models, and solution value positioning.
• Curiosity about AI, hybrid cloud, cyber resilience, and emerging data infrastructure technologies.
