Director of Corporate Development (Healthcare AI)

Location: Menlo Park, California, United States; on-site. Periodic travel of approximately 30–40% is required, and relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

What you will do

• Build segmented market maps, target lists, and a proactive acquisition pipeline across priority healthcare services verticals.
• Develop investment theses and business cases covering market sizing, strategic fit, synergy logic, and execution risks.
• Lead commercial, financial, legal, HR, technology, security, and clinical operations diligence.
• Own LBO and roll-up models, purchase price bridges, sources and uses, synergy cases, downside scenarios, NPV, and IRR analyses.
• Coordinate external advisors, financing sources, lenders, sponsors, and internal stakeholders through deal execution.
• Track value-creation levers including revenue expansion, SG&A optimization, workforce management, vendor consolidation, and post-close KPIs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in private equity, independent sponsorship, investment banking, or corporate development, with multiple closed transactions.
• Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills, including comfort with debt financing and definitive documents.
• Healthcare services experience and working knowledge of HIPAA and BAA constructs.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills across finance, legal, operations, and external advisors.
• BS or BA degree required.
• Ability to work on-site in Menlo Park, California, with approximately 30–40% periodic travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with contact centers or outsourced clinical operations such as triage, patient access, and scheduling.
• Experience with TSAs, carve-outs, and cross-border tuck-in acquisitions.
• Familiarity with AI and automation in service operations, including QA, workforce management, routing, and agent assist.
• Network among lower-middle-market healthcare services sponsors, bankers, and lenders.
