Project Lead Engineer (Large Steam and Gas Turbine)

Location: Hybrid (Remote/Office) in Orlando, Florida, United States; travel up to 20% annually, including international travel as needed.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary mechanical, fluid, electrical, and control systems engineering teams across concurrent projects.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for auxiliary systems scope and facilitate information flow between engineering, project management, procurement, quality, manufacturing, installation, and customers.
• Lead contract technical scope, engineering document schedules, and requirements flow-down from project kickoff through customer handover.
• Identify execution risks, manage internal engineering change requests, and support external technical scope changes.
• Represent auxiliary systems engineering in customer communications and coordinate technical issue resolution.
• Build interfaces with installation teams during equipment erection and commissioning at customer sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in power plant project execution.
• Knowledge of gas turbine, steam turbine, and/or generator auxiliary systems.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication; ability to prioritize work, complete tasks, work in multifunctional teams, and lead through influence.
• Proficiency with MS Office and hirify.global tools, including Fabasoft, SAP, Teamcenter, and COMOS/ePlan.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
