Engineering Lead (Data Center)

Location: Miami, Florida headquarters or project-based in St. Francisville, Louisiana; regular travel to project sites is required, approximately 50%+ during peak construction and commissioning.

What you will do

• Own the project's engineering scope and maintain the technical baseline against program standards, design requirements, and customer needs.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, BMS/controls, civil, structural, architectural, and fire-protection engineering resources.
• Resolve cross-discipline issues involving power, cooling, routing, structural provisions, controls integration, and project phasing.
• Lead 30/60/90/IFC design reviews and drive comment logs to closure.
• Oversee technical reviews of vendor packages including switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, CDUs, and BMS.
• Support construction, RFIs, field changes, constructability reviews, Level 1-5 commissioning, integrated systems testing, and turnover.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities, including at least 3 years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on major capital projects.
• Technical fluency across MV/LV electrical distribution, generation, UPS, chilled-water systems, air and liquid cooling, and controls integration.
• Owner-side or EPC design-management experience on projects with $250M+ construction value; hyperscale or colocation experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; PE license preferred.
• Experience with stage-gate design reviews, comment-log closure, RFI management, field changes, constructability trade-offs, and Level 1-5 commissioning.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites, with approximately 50% travel expected during peak construction and commissioning phases.
