Electrical/Systems Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; 5 days per week in the office

Salary: $147,000–$202,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead the technical execution of complex equipment projects spanning electrical, mechanical, controls, physics/process, and software design.
• Author engineering requirements, design specifications, system models, and subsystem architecture documentation.
• Design, implement, program, and test system controls for I/O, safety interlocks, heating, motion, gas, and vacuum subsystems.
• Develop component specifications, work with vendors on customized parts, and manage technical vendor relationships.
• Create test plans and protocols, perform verification and characterization testing, and troubleshoot functional, performance, and reliability issues.
• Transfer designs to manufacturing and support production builds, process engineering, supply chain, and early customer installations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in complex equipment systems engineering.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment electrical subsystems, including AC/DC power, cabling, heaters, actuators, motors, pneumatics, gas, vacuum, system I/O, and safety interlocks.
• Experience collaborating with electrical, mechanical, software, and process engineers to specify, model, design, build, test, and release complex electro-mechanical equipment.
• Experience leading technical projects from concept through development, verification, manufacturing introduction, and field deployment.
