Product Development Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Milpitas, California, USA; onsite at the US factory

Base pay: $117,800–$200,300 annually

hirify.global develops metrology and inspection systems for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, supporting wafer, reticle, integrated circuit, packaging, printed circuit board, and display production.

What you will do

• Complete final verification of semiconductor metrology systems at the US factory and confirm performance against specifications.
• Support on-time tool delivery according to production schedules.
• Debug production issues, establish root causes, and develop corrective plans of action.
• Guide manufacturing teams in executing corrective actions and standardize solutions that improve designs and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in Europe on escalation cases and provide final sign-off for tool shipments.
• Optimize BOMs, procedures, and tool configurations to improve cost, availability, and scalability.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field, or a master’s degree with 3 years of related work experience.
• Strong engineering or physical sciences background with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical understanding and communication skills for collaboration with engineering teams.
• Ability to travel to Europe for training.
