Senior Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design and development from requirements definition and feasibility studies through detailed design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing release.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into actionable engineering specifications.
• Perform and guide structural, modal, vibration, thermal, and fluid-flow analyses.
• Design systems with emphasis on vibration isolation and damping performance while balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Own subsystem or product-level deliverables and collaborate with systems, manufacturing, suppliers, and service teams.
• Lead design reviews, validation, system integration, manufacturing documentation, vendor engagement, and build issue resolution.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years.
• Strong expertise in at least two of structural/FEA analysis, modal and vibration analysis, thermal engineering, or fluid flow/CFD.
• Experience designing mechanical systems and creating CAD assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Experience creating procedures for manufacturing, field installation, and service.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex engineering problems, decision-making, accountability, communication, and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment or similarly complex hardware systems.
• Knowledge of vibration damping and isolation, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, precision engineering, machining, sheet metal, and welding.
• Experience leading projects from concept through manufacturing release.
