What you will do

• Manage purchase orders for direct materials and subcontracted services from requisition through delivery.
• Process supplier acknowledgements, MRP action messages, returns, purchase order releases, and invoice holds.
• Conduct RFQs, select sources of supply, negotiate pricing, and deliver annual cost savings.
• Coordinate supplier expediting, onboarding, contractual arrangements, and performance management.
• Maintain accurate pricing, supplier, and purchasing data in ERP systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve procurement efficiency and operational value.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically mechanical metal manufacturing.
• Knowledge of purchasing techniques and logistics supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) systems.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, communication, supplier relationship management, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing gauges, transmitters, piping components, fasteners, gaskets, pumps, coolers, accumulators, and motors.
• Experience sourcing fabrication API plans, spools, skids, and auxiliary systems.
