Buyer, Staff (Manufacturing)

Location: Hatfield, Pennsylvania, United States — onsite; EST time zone.

Salary: $58,100–$65,000 per year, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Purchase materials, supplies, services, inventory, and subcontracted work.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering to support timely and cost-effective acquisition.
• Process purchase requisitions, change orders, and supplier requests for quotes.
• Evaluate bids, select suppliers, and negotiate price, delivery, quality, and service terms.
• Monitor subcontract cost, schedule, scope, and order completion.
• Resolve supplier quality issues, claims, returns, cancellations, and engineering changes; conduct supplier site visits and performance ratings.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of purchasing or buyer experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, planning, engineering, quality assurance, and suppliers.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Compliance with corporate policies and applicable federal, state, and local purchasing and shipment regulations.
• The position may involve exposure to export-controlled information and additional security screening.

Nice to have

• Degree or diploma in supply chain, business, or finance.
• Experience with make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing.
