Company

Scientech, a Curtiss-Wright business unit, provides power instrumentation, electrical components, specialty hardware, process control systems, and database solutions for nuclear, fossil, and renewable power markets.

What you will do

  • Plan, design, configure, develop, test, debug, maintain, and document distributed control systems, computer systems, and network architectures.
  • Capture and define hardware and software requirements, evaluate feasibility, create concepts and prototypes, and refine system designs.
  • Integrate third-party hardware and software with internally developed solutions, including SCADA computers, PLCs, data acquisition, health monitoring, and redundancy systems.
  • Create and review system design and formal test documentation, then execute system testing and integration activities.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to meet system requirements; evaluate equipment vendors and prepare purchase requisitions.
  • Support deployed systems by diagnosing and resolving issues across servers, workstations, networks, data acquisition systems, and wiring.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person due to the nature of work performed at the site and potential exposure to export-controlled information.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience interfacing with field devices such as thermocouples, RTDs, current loops, voltage signals, and discrete I/O.
  • Ability to work a professional office schedule, including non-regular hours when required, and to lead work.
  • Strong oral, written, and technical documentation skills; ability to create practical conceptual designs for complex systems and travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Nice to have

  • Equipment layout, panel design, electronic circuits, network configuration, VLAN planning, and basic routing experience.
  • Experience with proposals, project bidding, CAD tools, Microsoft Windows Server, and Windows system management.
  • Experience with C/C++, C#, Python, PowerShell, and real-time application development.
  • Experience performing formal software and hardware integration testing and creating system test procedures.
  • Nuclear industry or other highly regulated environment experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Paid time off and health and wellness benefits.
  • 401(k) with employer matching and profit sharing.
  • Learning and development opportunities.
