Process Engineer - TFF (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, United States; office-based work with customer-site support and domestic or international travel

What you will do

• Develop and characterize semiconductor processes on hirify.global equipment at customer sites.
• Design and execute process optimization experiments, then characterize and analyze test data to define process and material specifications.
• Support customer applications development, demonstrations, process startups, and troubleshooting in the field.
• Coordinate process development and maintenance activities with customers and perform simple equipment maintenance when needed.
• Work with sales, marketing, internal business units, and the factory on equipment improvements, process issues, and technical solutions.
• Ensure quality processing of materials and provide technical input for customer experimental designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience, or a master's degree with 3 years, or a PhD with 2 years.
• Experience with statistics for hypothesis testing, statistical process control, and design of experiments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and travel domestically or internationally.
• Ability to work in an office setting, spend 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor device manufacturing.
• Thin-film deposition experience with ALD, CVD, PECVD, PE-ALD, or similar technologies.
• Experience with hirify.global single-wafer or batch deposition equipment.
• Knowledge of TEM, XRD, XPS, SIMS, ellipsometry, AFM, or other surface-analysis techniques.
• Project management experience or a strong self-directed work style.
