Process Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; onsite work in cleanroom and laboratory environments

Salary: $24.50–$34.10 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare wafers and clean reactors for experimentation.
• Operate reactors under supervision to perform thin-film processes and evaluate process system performance.
• Prepare cross-section samples and operate scanning electron microscopes for CD, EDS, cross-section, and top-view analysis.
• Record process conditions and experimental observations, identify relevant imaging patterns, and assess image quality.
• Evaluate wafers and thin films, perform routine maintenance including flash and plasma cleaning, and use laboratory process equipment.
• Communicate requirements and results with requestors and coordinate equipment, supplies, vendors, and purchasing.

Requirements

• Technical diploma, military technical training, or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of scanning electron microscope principles and system software alignment.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom with required personal protective equipment and use hand and power tools.
• Ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, climb, lift up to 35 pounds, distinguish colors, and work with electricity.
