TL;DR

Location: Site-based in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico

What you will do

  • Support implementation of STPS NOM requirements and company EHS procedures at the site level.
  • Assist with EHS activities during installation, commissioning, and operational start-up.
  • Coordinate contractor safety documentation, including safety plans, training records, DC-3 documentation, and site requirements.
  • Monitor critical safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout, work at height, confined space entry, electrical safety, arc flash, and hot work.
  • Conduct site walks, hazard observations, safety checks, and corrective-action follow-up.
  • Maintain EHS records, support incident documentation, and coordinate Mexico IMSS governance requirements with internal teams, contractors, and local partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of EHS experience in construction, commissioning, industrial operations, warehouse, or manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of STPS NOM regulatory requirements in Mexico and familiarity with DC-3 training documentation.
  • Experience supporting safety activities in automation, robotics, material handling, industrial installation, or related environments.
  • Ability to conduct safety inspections, maintain documentation, support incident follow-up, and track corrective actions.
  • Fluent Spanish and professional working proficiency in English required.

  • Safety-related certifications or training.
  • US visa.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive or fly to client and customer locations required.
  • Expenses paid personally by credit card and reimbursed bi-weekly.
  • Work requires climbing stairs, working at heights up to 45 feet, entering confined spaces, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Work includes exposure to temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit and requires adherence to fall protection, Lockout/Tagout, and other safety protocols.
