Controls Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico; onsite full-time with 4x3 shift changes

What you will do

• Implement new manufacturing programs, including SOR preparation, forecasting, controls and robotics design, equipment build, run-off, and buyoff.
• Design, construct, integrate, install, launch, and continuously improve plant production equipment.
• Maintain and apply controls technologies including PLCs, HMIs, networks, robots, and vision systems.
• Manage delivery against program milestones and provide project reports to senior management.
• Support existing programs and sites through troubleshooting and technical direction for less experienced controls engineers.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, support advanced process technology testing, and sustain daily shop productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Electromechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• More than 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
• Knowledge of PLCs, FANUC robots, vision systems, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Must work onsite in Silao, Guanajuato, on a full-time basis and be able to change shifts on a 4x3 schedule.
