Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Parkville, Missouri; full-time work in a manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Lead strategic initiatives and set the vision for a high-performing production department.
• Develop and implement improvements to production methods and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to production expense budgets and capital investment requests.
• Administer and enforce company policies within the assigned area.
• Monitor operations, trigger corrective actions, and maintain plant safety procedures.
• Stay current with production management best practices and concepts.

Requirements

• BS degree in Production Management, Operations, or a related field, or 6–8 years of experience in manufacturing, production, supply chain, or a related area.
• Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing processes.
• Experience as a plant manager or in an equivalent role, with proven managerial experience.
• Knowledge of budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
• Familiarity with industry-standard equipment, technical expertise, computer literacy, and strong decision-making and people-management skills.
• Ability to work around humidity, loud noise, dirt, varying temperatures, sheet metal, and forklift traffic; lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
