Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Parkville, MO; onsite work in a manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Lead strategic initiatives and define the vision for a high-performing department.
• Develop and implement improvements to production methods and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to production-expense budgets and capital-investment requests.
• Administer and enforce company policies within the assigned area.
• Monitor operations, initiate corrective actions, and maintain plant safety procedures.
• Apply current production-management best practices and concepts.

Requirements

• BS degree in Production Management, Operations, or a related field or 6–8 years of experience in manufacturing, production, supply chain, or a related area.
• Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience as a plant manager or in an equivalent role, plus proven managerial experience.
• Knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
• Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
• Computer literacy and the ability to create accountability and lead by example.
• Strong team-building, decision-making, and people-management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods for up to 95% of the workday, climb, and stoop.
