Sr. Specialist, Supplier Management (Automotive): Leading supplier readiness, industrialization, risk management, and launch execution for electric pickup trucks and rugged SUVs with an accent on manufacturing capability, tooling readiness, process maturity, and supply continuity. Focus on assessing supplier performance, driving APQP and PPAP improvements, mitigating capacity and quality risks, and coordinating complex launches across automotive programs.
Location: Onsite in Novi, Michigan, or Charlotte, North Carolina, with 4–5 days of office attendance and approximately 80% domestic and international travel.
Salary: $110,000–$135,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do
- Lead supplier readiness and industrialization assessments covering manufacturing capabilities, tooling, process maturity, and operational preparedness.
- Drive supplier development initiatives across multiple vehicle programs from pre-production through mass production.
- Identify supplier, manufacturing, logistics, capacity, quality, and supply continuity risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead cross-functional supplier performance reviews focused on cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and operational excellence.
- Apply APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, supplier assessments, and audits to improve launch readiness.
- Advise Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Program Management teams and communicate readiness metrics to leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in supplier development, supplier quality, procurement, manufacturing engineering, launch management, or a related automotive field.
- Expertise leading supplier readiness and industrialization activities across multiple suppliers, manufacturing processes, and vehicle programs.
- Advanced experience with APQP, PPAP, Supplier Readiness Reviews, Manufacturing Readiness Assessments, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing systems, supplier qualification, industrialization, and launch management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-influence skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field; at minimum, a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
