Lead Materials Manager (AI Infrastructure)

Salary: $208,000 – $263,000

What you will do

• Lead and coach the materials management team to ensure every open order has an owner and recovery plan.
• Personally handle the most difficult vendor recoveries and renegotiate delivery commitments for critical capital equipment.
• Manage 4-5+ suppliers, CMs, and ODMs across concurrent project sites to prevent capacity and lead time collisions.
• Reconcile purchase orders against engineering drawings and specifications to identify scope discrepancies before shipment.
• Establish a reporting rhythm for project managers and leadership to document root causes and corrective actions for delivery misses.
• Travel to vendor sites to verify production status and push for recoveries in person.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience in global sourcing or supply chain for capital equipment or data center infrastructure.
• Proven leadership experience managing buyers or materials managers.
• Demonstrated success in personally expediting capital equipment orders and renegotiating vendor commitments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to catch scope discrepancies.
• Comfortable with frequent travel to vendor sites.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Background in owner-furnished equipment.
• Experience with cooling and power components for AI data centers.
• GPU platform procurement experience at a hyperscaler.
