Sourcing Manager (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, with presence in the San Jose or San Francisco office four days per week; work from home day is Tuesday.

What you will do

• Own ODM/OEM sourcing strategy for finished-good systems, rack integration, networking platforms, and factory testing.
• Evaluate partners, run competitive RFQ/RFP processes, and select suppliers based on capability, capacity, cost, quality, and manufacturing footprint.
• Negotiate manufacturing, build, supply, pricing, capacity, NRE, tooling, quality, warranty, logistics, and support agreements.
• Manage executive partner relationships, quarterly business reviews, performance scorecards, escalations, and improvement plans.
• Lead the commercial workstream for new platform introductions from EVT and PVT through qualification, mass production, and ramp.
• Partner with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain Planning, Commodity Management, and Operations on cost models, capacity planning, deployment forecasts, and supply risk.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, ODM/OEM management, or supply chain roles.
• Direct experience sourcing finished goods at the system or rack level, including compute, storage, networking, or integrated hardware platforms.
• Experience negotiating and managing build and supply agreements with ODMs, OEMs, or contract manufacturers.
• Strong knowledge of BOM cost roll-ups, should-cost analysis, conversion and integration costs, NRE, tooling, and total landed cost.
• Experience selecting platform-level partners and managing NPI, qualification, mass production ramps, integration, system testing, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical, financial, negotiation, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills in high-growth, constrained supply environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with hyperscale data center or AI infrastructure build programs.
• Experience with manufacturing footprint transitions, regional dual-sourcing, tariffs, trade strategy, or geopolitical supply risks.
• Familiarity with OCP, OAM, and other open hardware standards.
• Knowledge of accelerators, memory, optics, power, and cooling supply bases.
• Mandarin language ability, experience with Taiwan- or China-based manufacturing partners, international travel readiness, and a relevant bachelor's degree.
