Legal Recruiter (LegalTech)

Location: New York City; based in or willing to relocate to NYC. Flexible hybrid model with in-office work typically 3–4 days per week.

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 per year plus equity. The range represents base salary and excludes equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruiting from sourcing and screening through interviews, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers and founders to define roles, requirements, and ideal candidate profiles.
• Build, iterate, and scale recruiting processes for a high-growth startup.
• Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive candidates.
• Deliver a strong candidate experience and help shape the employer brand and candidate pitch.
• Track recruiting pipelines and performance while providing talent-market insights.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter.
• Proven ability to attract top talent.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and build processes from scratch.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• Based in or willing to relocate to NYC and comfortable working in a hybrid model.
• Practical fluency with AI tools and workflows, including the ability to discuss their use during interviews.

Nice to have

• Experience hiring in AI, ML, or LegalTech.
• Experience at an early-stage, venture-backed company.
