ECAD Librarian (AI Hardware)

Location: On-site in San Jose, United States. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to San Jose.

Salary: $150K–$275K per year.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and organize Allegro schematic symbol and PCB footprint libraries.
• Create and validate complex symbols and footprints against IPC standards, JEDEC package standards, and company guidelines.
• Maintain component metadata, including part numbers, attributes, and datasheet links.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical engineering, and layout teams to resolve library issues and improve design for manufacturability.
• Establish best practices for library version control, part approvals, data integrity, and quality checks.
• Work with component suppliers to verify technical data and design compatibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of ECAD library management experience, including Allegro schematic symbols and PCB footprints.
• Expertise with Allegro PCB Editor and related library creation tools.
• Strong knowledge of IPC standards, JEDEC package standards, package tolerances, Part Life Cycle, EOL parts, and RoHS/EU compliance.
• Experience with manufacturing collaboration, ECAD library version control using Git or PLM software, and BOM management.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with scripting languages such as SKILL for Allegro.
