Sr. Cybersecurity Advisor (Cybersecurity)

Location: Fully remote, but must be located in Portland, Oregon, USA

Total target compensation: $200,000–$250,000+ annually, including base salary and an uncapped bonus plan.

What you will do

• Design cybersecurity solutions and complete security programs aligned with client objectives, initiatives, risk appetite, budgets, and business goals.
• Advise client stakeholders and sales teams across security domains including data protection and AI, cloud security and DevSecOps, endpoint, identity, network, offensive security, security operations, and strategy and risk management.
• Gather requirements, define technology selection criteria, coordinate demonstrations and security technology evaluations, and manage proposals, contracts, RFIs, and RFPs.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, support quota attainment, and participate in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management.
• Collaborate with service delivery teams, domain specialists, technology partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure solution alignment and client satisfaction.
• Maintain advisory relationships, provide cybersecurity thought leadership, and track industry trends, threats, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in information security, preferably in consulting, advisory, architecture, or engineering.
• Expertise in at least one cybersecurity domain: data protection and AI, cloud security and DevSecOps, endpoint security, identity, network security, offensive security, security operations, or strategy and risk management.
• Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to lead technology-focused discussions and communicate with client leadership.
• Strong presentation, written, oral communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and sales skills.
• Ability to work independently in an adaptable, responsive team environment and maintain strong attention to detail when reviewing SOWs, quotes, and deliverables.
• BS/BA or equivalent applicable experience, plus vendor-specific certification focused on the relevant specialty.
