Capital Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; travel to Eagan, Minnesota may be required, with up to 25% domestic or international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $124,000–$170,500 per year, including base pay and eligible variable incentive pay.

What you will do

• Develop project estimates, plans, proposals, and approval materials.
• Manage project timelines, scopes, budgets, construction activities, and personnel.
• Specify facility and equipment performance requirements and design criteria.
• Define competitive bidding and project delivery strategies.
• Communicate with project teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, guidelines, and standards while advancing and deploying technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 7 years of experience in capital project management, process engineering, product engineering, or manufacturing engineering; or a high school diploma/GED and at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Experience may come from private, public, government, or military environments.
• Strong project management, communication, facilitation, influencing, and teaching or coaching skills.
• Experience leading projects in laboratories or manufacturing plants.
• Ability to promote teamwork and maintain positive team morale.

Nice to have

• Subject matter expertise in automated manufacturing equipment and web-handling, including roll-to-roll processes.
• Advanced degree in engineering or technology management from an accredited institution.
