Senior Engineer, Engines

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays. Travel domestically and internationally for approximately 10% of the time, including trips of up to two weeks.

Annual base salary: $105,228.33–$146,720.00.

What you will do

• Lead the application, integration, and validation of engine systems and interfaces, including fuel and oil, air intake, exhaust and aftertreatment, PTO/drivetrain, and structural systems.
• Coordinate technical work with engine suppliers, designers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
• Support control-system and electrical integration between mechanical and electrical engine interfaces.
• Use predictive modeling, simulation, empirical testing, data mining, forensics, and test analysis to optimize designs.
• Own durability validation, DFMEA/DVPR activities, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and technical reporting.
• Understand and report transport refrigeration unit emissions for US products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or an equivalent four-year qualification.
• Experience with engine development and aftertreatment.
• Knowledge of fuels, oils, coolants, and engine or system modeling.
• Proficiency in test design, analysis, and technical reporting.
• Knowledge of emission regulations and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to attain necessary visas for business travel when applicable.
