Associate - Fire Protection Engineering

Location: Remote; the role is associated with the Colorado Springs office in the United States.

Salary: $67,000–$101,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Provide fire protection engineering services, including life safety code consulting, sprinkler design, fire alarm design, and performance-based fire engineering design.
• Prepare plans, specifications, inspection reports, progress reports, and other project documentation.
• Conduct building code, egress, fire detection and alarm, smoke control, sprinkler, and water supply analyses.
• Perform engineering calculations for egress, allowable building area, sprinkler water supplies, and smoke control equipment.
• Assist with field investigations, inspections, design checking, problem resolution, and coordination of project design elements.
• Communicate with project team members, clients, project managers, and project leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil, Architectural, or a related engineering field.
• 0–3 years of experience; recent graduates are eligible.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for reports, presentations, correspondence, manuals, and client or public inquiries.
• Problem-solving, reasoning, self-management, and professional collaboration skills.
• Interest in advancing safety engineering and meeting client expectations.
