Fire Protection Engineer III

Location: Addison, TX, US; hybrid model with regular in-office days

Salary: $88,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead fire protection system design development and calculations from schematic design through construction documents.
• Perform equipment sizing, code compliance checks, system layouts, narratives, specifications, schirify.globalules, and redline markups.
• Develop and review fire protection layouts in Revit and coordinate designs with architectural, structural, and external consultant teams.
• Review RFIs and submittals, conduct field verification and construction observation visits, and participate in punch walks.
• Support project meetings, QAQC, peer reviews, project planning, scope tracking, and resource allocation.
• Mentor designers and interns in software use, modeling practices, documentation standards, and calculation fundamentals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required.
• 5+ years of experience in the AEC industry preferred.
• Revit experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, flexibility, and curiosity.
• Ability to collaborate effectively under deadline conditions and communicate through written, verbal, phone, video, and in-person formats.
