Fire Protection Designer

Location: Chicago, IL, US, or Addison, TX, US; hybrid schirify.globalule with regular in-office days required

Salary: $32.00–$43.00 per hour

What you will do

• Develop fire protection design documentation, sheet lists, project setups, and Revit models.
• Model fire protection components and systems based on codes, client requirements, and engineering guidance.
• Coordinate fire protection requirements with project engineers and other disciplines.
• Support construction administration through submittal reviews and supervised RFI responses.
• Prepare redline markups, edit Division 21 specifications, and participate in QAQC activities.
• Coordinate meetings, delegate workload, estimate task hours, and manage assigned project work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Revit experience required.
• 2+ years of AEC industry experience preferred.
• Must reside near Chicago, IL, or Addison, TX, and be able to work on a hybrid schirify.globalule with regular office attendance.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and curiosity.
• Ability to collaborate effectively under deadline conditions and use word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
