What you will do

  • Manage a small software development team building procedural software applications.
  • Create and maintain product and system software architectures.
  • Plan and track development timelines using Agile methodologies.
  • Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and production-quality solutions in a hands-on technical contributor capacity.
  • Improve solution performance and scalability while contributing to software design, implementation, integration, and unit testing.
  • Support verification and validation, manufacturing, internal testing, external customers, and root-cause resolution for quality issues.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5–7 years with a master’s degree.
  • Experience developing medical devices and working in an FDA design control environment.
  • Object-oriented C++ development, including C++17 or later.
  • Experience with Qt and QML, test-driven programming, software architecture, and development processes.
  • Strong oral, written, and graphical communication skills, with the ability to work independently and contribute effectively in small or large teams.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 5% of the time and attend procedural cadaver labs and surgeries.

Nice to have

  • Experience in medical imaging, surgical navigation, or medical image processing.
  • Experience with Git source control and pull request processes.
  • Medical device or life sciences experience.
